KONOSU MUSIC FESTIVAL 2026 to be Held on November 29 in Kounosu, Saitama: An Authentic Music Festival Built by Local Youth

The music festival, launched by local youth and citizens, is entering its second year. The KONOSU MUSIC FESTIVAL Organizing Committee (Organized by: Kounosu Kitamoto Junior Chamber) has decided to hold the outdoor music festival 'KONOSU MUSIC FESTIVAL 2026' on November 29, 2026, at the Fukiage General Sports Ground in Kounosu, Saitama. The inaugural event in 2025 attracted approximately 4,000 attendees. It featured professional artists performing alongside local children and young talents, with 38 local restaurants setting up shops and student/citizen volunteers handling operations. This is a citizen-led festival where the community actively participates in 'creating' rather than just watching.

The theme for 2026 is 'A festival for adults and children to enjoy all day.' The event will create a unique autumn day for the city, crossing generations and genres by offering stages for nationally active professional artists alongside platforms for local children and young artists.

Starting today, June 11, applications are open for the public audition 'X-talent the SAI Vol.1,' which leads to the main stage. There are no age or experience restrictions. The Grand Prix winner will perform as an opening act in front of a large audience with professionals on November 29.

Last year's inaugural festival featured popular artists like DOBERMAN INFINITY and PKCZ®, drawing a crowd of 4,000. Local child dancers performed on the same stage as the pros, and local restaurants filled the food area, allowing families and music fans alike to enjoy a full autumn day.

This year, based on feedback from last year, the committee is reviewing genres to create a lineup that appeals to all generations. The first artist announcement is scheduled for July onwards.
