"SIM3 Certified Auditor Training" to be Held in Tokyo in September

The Japan CSIRT Association (NCA) will hold the "SIM3 Certified Auditor Training" from September 2 (Wed) to September 4 (Fri), 2026.

This training is designed to develop SIM3 auditors.

By attending and passing the exam, participants will be certified as SIM3 auditors by the OCF.

This enables them to audit CSIRTs, including other teams, and conduct certification reviews.

Note: Although a certification system is planned in Japan, it has not yet been implemented.

This training is recommended for those involved in building and operating CSIRTs, as well as those engaged in security-related work.

It is an excellent opportunity to learn about incident management.

We encourage CSIRT managers and leaders who are building and operating CSIRTs to attend. We look forward to your applications.

[Eligibility] - It is desirable to have sufficient knowledge of incident management, such as at least 3 years of experience in CSIRT operations. - Applicants must submit their work history. The OCF SIM3 Certified Trainer will determine eligibility based on the content.

*Regarding CPE Points By participating in this training, ISC2 certified holders can apply for CPE credits. Please apply for CPE related to the domain of your certification from the member portal.

[Certification Criteria] Upon completing all training sessions and passing the final exam, participants will be granted the OCF Certified SIM3 Auditor qualification. Please note that certification will not be granted in the following cases, and the participation fee and certification fee will not be refunded. - Certification requires attendance at all lectures and exercises. Certification may not be granted in cases of lateness, leaving early, or absence. If unavoidable circumstances arise, please consult with the instructor or staff, even after the fact. Lateness due to train delays may not be excused. Those traveling from a distance are recommended to stay overnight nearby. - Engaging in unrelated work or side activities during lectures or exercises. If such behavior is discovered, certification will not be granted. If unavoidable urgent work must be performed, please consult with the instructor or staff.

[Participation Fee] - NCA member organizations: 275,000 yen (tax included) - Non-NCA member organizations: 330,000 yen (tax included) The above fees include the training fee and an initial certification fee equivalent to 250 euros. The above fees do not include meals, accommodation, transportation, etc.
