### Background of Establishment In recent years, humanoid robot development has been progressing rapidly, primarily led by giant tech companies in the US and IT/EV/robotics companies in China. Japan must demonstrate its presence as a former robotics powerhouse.
Furthermore, social issues such as natural disasters and labor shortages are becoming more severe in Japan, leading to high expectations for robotics technology. Humanoid robots, which have human-like movement capabilities and can operate in extreme environments, are attracting attention as next-generation mechanical systems.
However, while AI and software continue to evolve, the domestic development system and integrated industrial efforts in the hardware domain remain underdeveloped. To break through these challenges, KyoHA was established in Kyoto, the city of craftsmanship, as a new framework for industrial collaboration to consolidate Japan's technological prowess.
### 1. Manufacturing System Currently, several companies and institutions have joined as members. We will continue to widely recruit participants as a "Japan Alliance for Humanoids" that crosses industry and academia.
### 2. Report on the Verification Machine KyoHA reports an overview of the first verification machine, marking the 1st step toward Japan-made purely domestic humanoid development. This prototype serves as the starting point for technical verification and social implementation, and is a basic model for realizing humanoid robots.
- **Purely Domestic Realization:** All processes from components to the finished product were carried out in Japan. - **Short-term Prototyping:** Realized prototyping and verification in a short period, taking about 4 months from the start of design to the completion of assembly. - **Verification Machine: SEIMEI**
KyoHA proposes a new approach to robot motion generation by incorporating human movements directly into learning. Using posture information extracted from videos, the robot acquires motions through trial and error. This enables the realization of diverse robot actions while utilizing data efficiently.
### 3. Future Schedule Starting from the verification machine reported this time, we aim to realize all data and AI domestically. In the future, we will simultaneously develop two types of humanoid robots, prioritizing the power model.
