Call for University Tutors: 2026 Platinum Future Talent Development Academy

The Platinum Society Network (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Hiroshi Komiyama) is recruiting university student tutors for the 2026 'Platinum Future Talent Development Academy,' a program aimed at fostering next-generation talent.

The academy features 'inquiry-based learning,' where students attend lectures by top experts and engage in group work with peers from across Japan, culminating in a presentation. As a tutor, you will be expected to support students' growth by facilitating discussions and providing guidance, rather than just 'teaching.' We look forward to your applications.

- Role: Participate in pre-training and facilitate/support group work.
- Schedule (Attendance mandatory for all dates):
1. Pre-training: Saturday, July 4, 2026
2. Academy: Tuesday, August 4, 2026 to Friday, August 7, 2026
- Venues:
1. Pre-training: Mitsubishi Research Institute, 4F Conference Room (Nagatacho 2-10-3, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo)
2. Academy: University of Tokyo Hongo Campus, Sanjo Conference Hall (Hongo 7-3-1, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo)
- Preferred Requirements: Individuals who can cooperate with high school students and seniors, respect the autonomy of middle school students, and provide warm support.
- Compensation: 25,000 JPY (including withholding tax).
- Benefits: Transportation expenses (up to a limit) and lunch provided.

■ About the Platinum Future Talent Development Academy

This is an inquiry-based learning program for middle school students aimed at fostering 'future talent'—individuals who can think for themselves and take action toward a desirable future society. Participants develop their ability to analyze social issues through lectures by leading experts and intergenerational exchanges involving participants from high school students to seniors.

The program has been held 13 times, with a total of 912 participants. In fiscal year 2025, 53 students from 13 prefectures participated. The 4-day program explores 'Society and Myself in 2050.'
