The unveiling of this work is timed to coincide with periods of heightened interest in nature conservation both domestically and internationally, such as the International Day for Biological Diversity on May 22, Environment Month in June, and the Global Nature Positive Summit scheduled to be held in Kumamoto in July.
The work will be exhibited at the Global Environment Outreach Centre (GEOC) from Friday, May 2, 2026, to Monday, May 26, 2026.
Based on the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, which calls for achieving "Nature Positive" – halting and reversing nature loss by 2030 – this work aims to create an opportunity to reconsider the connection between our lives, the natural environment, and biodiversity at this pivotal moment.

Artwork Title: "Flow Shifter"
About Art
When beavers gnaw on trees, the flow of water changes, creating new habitats for living things.
Humans can change nature in the same way.
I depicted a future where nature is made richer, overlapping with the image of beavers.
About Graph
Clean water, safe food, and land where we can live with peace of mind—
It is the power of nature, and nothing else, that supports our daily lives. Currently, that nature is being destroyed by human economic activities and is facing a crisis of survival.
In the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, a global biodiversity target adopted in 2022, the goal of achieving "Nature Positive" (nature restoration) was set: to halt and reverse nature loss by 2030, based on 2020 levels, and achieve full recovery by 2050.
We are now at a crucial turning point that will determine our future. The actions of each individual will change the future of our planet.
