HOTEL IL PALAZZO (Location: 3-13-1 Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City), Japan's first design hotel, will begin offering its first afternoon tea, "Summer Fruits Afternoon Tea," starting Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

The venue is the hotel lounge "EL DORADO." We offer a total of 13 types of sweets and savories using seasonal fruits and summer vegetables, as well as a wide variety of cocktail buffets.

Summer Fruits Afternoon Tea Retro Pudding Ice Cream Kiwi Burger

This summer-limited afternoon tea incorporates the colorfulness and playfulness characteristic of HOTEL IL PALAZZO.

The top tier features a jelly made with domestic peaches and raspberries in season, and a cream puff with a charming flamingo motif. Finished with pop colors and playful motifs, it's a dish that will make you want to take a photo.

The middle tier presents sweets with playful colors and forms, including bonbon chocolates inspired by the hotel's colors, a tart shaped like a cherry, and macarons adorned with floral decorations.

The bottom tier offers savories using summer vegetables.

On a separate plate, we have prepared visually delightful menus such as a nostalgic retro pudding ice cream and a kiwi burger, which combines our popular lunch smash burger with fresh kiwi. This satisfying lineup consists of a total of 13 items. You can enjoy a luxurious afternoon tea that offers not only various flavors but also a gorgeous appearance.

【About HOTEL IL PALAZZO】

Opened in 1989, it is Japan's first design hotel. Italian architect Aldo Rossi, one of the 20th century's most representative architects, and Japanese interior designer Shigeru Uchida collaborated, drawing significant attention for its architectural and compositional beauty. Its architecture is highly acclaimed by architectural and design professionals both domestically and internationally. In 1990, it received the Pritzker Prize, often called the Nobel Prize of architecture, and the Fukuoka City Urban Landscape Award. Furthermore, in 1991, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) awarded it an honor award, the first ever for architecture outside the United States.

The comprehensive renovation in 2023, the "Re-Design Project," has rebuilt the hotel into a sophisticated space that meets contemporary sensibilities while inheriting the aesthetics of its historic architecture. It harmonizes with the cultural context of Fukuoka's Haruyoshi district, offering a unique architectural experience and a high-quality stay.
