Purpose of Fundraising
This fundraising was conducted in support of our R&D capabilities and future prospects. The funds raised will be allocated to clinical performance tests of the developed blood glucose sensor and the development of production technology for mass production. This will enable us to accelerate our efforts towards regulatory approval and manufacturing and sales.
Measurement completed in just 5 seconds by simply touching with a finger.
More than 500 million diabetes patients worldwide must measure their blood glucose 4-5 times a day using invasive self-monitoring blood glucose (SMBG) sensors that involve pricking a finger with a needle, leading to many problems such as pain, psychological stress, and the risk of infection. With the desire to "eliminate the pain of blood collection that diabetes patients experience daily," Light Touch Technology has successfully developed a high-brightness infrared laser with approximately 1 billion times the brightness of conventional light sources, utilizing its unique cutting-edge laser technology. This has enabled the world's first establishment of non-invasive blood glucose measurement technology.
By simply touching with a finger, blood glucose can be measured without blood collection in approximately 5 seconds, which can alleviate the pain and stress associated with blood glucose measurement for diabetes patients and reduce the risk of infection. Furthermore, by utilizing it for casual blood glucose management not only by diabetes patients but also by healthy individuals, we aim to curb the increase in the diabetic population, reduce annually increasing medical and long-term care costs, and extend healthy lifespans.

Comment from Representative Director Koichi Yamakawa
"We want to reduce the burden on people fighting diabetes."
The diabetic population is expected to continue to increase, and alleviating the burden of daily blood glucose measurement for diabetes patients has become a global medical challenge.
Since our founding in July 2017, Light Touch Technology has been engaged in research and development aimed at commercializing the world's first needle-free blood glucose sensor utilizing our proprietary laser technology.
"Making needle-free blood glucose measurement commonplace."
We are confident that our technology is indispensable for achieving this. Light Touch Technology will continue to advance towards a pain-free world.
