The awards are organized by Drug Magazine Co., Ltd. and the Yachiyo-kai, an association of healthcare wholesalers, and supported by the Japan Chain Drugstore Association. Winners are determined by votes from healthcare wholesalers and leading pharmacies and drugstores nationwide, focusing on products launched or renewed during the year. "Watashi no Aojiru Prebiotics" was developed based on the concept of "nurturing and increasing gut bacteria" such as bifidobacteria.
