ModAstera and Wellgen Medical Form Strategic Partnership for AI-Powered Cancer Cytology

ModAstera Inc. (Tokyo) and Wellgen Medical (Taiwan) have entered a strategic partnership to develop AI screening models for cancer cytology. By combining Wellgen's FDA-cleared tomographic imaging technology, CytoScope, with ModAstera's medical AI platform, the collaboration aims to overcome the challenge of 3D cell overlapping in body fluids. This solution will assist pathologists by pre-screening slides to surface suspicious areas, improving diagnostic accuracy and efficiency while addressing the global shortage of pathologists.
