Micron Ships Industry-Leading 245TB Capacity Micron 6600 ION SSD for Data Centers

Micron Technology has announced the shipping of the Micron 6600 ION SSD, featuring the world's largest capacity at 245TB. Designed for data centers and AI workloads, it utilizes G9 QLC NAND to provide massive storage density. The product reduces rack space by 82% compared to HDD-based deployments and operates at a maximum of 30 watts, cutting power consumption by half. Available in U.2 and E3.L form factors, it enables sustainable scaling of AI infrastructure while significantly lowering the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for operators.
