Brief History of Mr. Koshiro Katayama

1970: Born in Yao City, Osaka Prefecture. Later moved to Itano-gun, Tokushima Prefecture, his father's hometown and the home of indigo dyeing.

1982: Began indigo dyeing to help the creative activities of his mother, the late Eiko Katayama (Full member of the Japan Contemporary Arts and Crafts Association), an indigo painting artist.

1992: Graduated from Shonan Institute of Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Engaged in indigo dyeing while working on product development, design, and engineering of automobile maintenance equipment, industrial equipment, beauty salon equipment, and outdoor goods.

2010: Dedicated himself to indigo dyeing activities at Aindigo Art (Representative: the late Eiko Katayama).
