Funds to be used for thyroid examinations and recuperation activities
Pal System has been continuing its activities to support victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Tokyo Electric Power Company Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident since 2011. As part of this effort, the "Support Fund for Victims of the Tokyo Electric Power Company Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant Accident," which calls for donations from users, received a total of 2,455,911 yen from April 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.
In addition to donations, 828,700 yen in donations from Pal System Mutual Aid will be combined and used for victim support.
This fiscal year, after review by the "Support Fund for Victims of the Tokyo Electric Power Company Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant Accident" Management Committee, grants totaling 8,113,400 yen have been decided for 27 organizations. The difference between the total amount of donations and contributions and the total grant amount will be covered by the carry-over funds from the previous fiscal year.
The organizations will use the grants for recuperation activities and thyroid screenings for victims and evacuees, as well as for study tours to visit disaster-stricken areas and interact with local residents.
