Meal kits and luxurious onigiri for quick meals to beat the heat: Cooking and tasting event in Suwa City and Minami-Alps City on July 15 (Wed) and 16 (Thu) [Yamanashi Nagano]

Co-op Pal System Yamanashi Nagano (Headquarters: Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Chairperson: Shigeo Furuya) will hold an event on July 15 (Wed) and 16 (Thu) from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at its delivery bases, Suwa Center (Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture) and Hatta Fureai Information Center (Minami-Alps City, Yamanashi Prefecture), to introduce how to use Pal System's meal kit "Oryori Set". Users who are also board members will share tips for quick cooking during the hot summer.

Experience Quick Cooking Together

The "Oryori Set" utilization techniques will be explained by board members who participate in organizational management as representatives of users. They will introduce the features of the "Oryori Set," which contributes to quick cooking and expanding repertoire, from a user's perspective. Participants will cook the set together and experience the taste of authentic menus prepared quickly.

This product, which includes Pal System's directly sourced meat, pre-cut domestic vegetables, seasonings, and recipes, offers over 500 types of menus, with 40 options to choose from each week. It also contributes to sustainable production by utilizing non-standard vegetables and directly sourced ingredients, combined with Pal System's original seasonings and ingredients.

Participants will taste the prepared menus, interact, and learn about the unique features of the set that only Pal System can offer.

Luxurious Onigiri to Promote Rice Consumption

Along with the "Oryori Set," participants will enjoy onigiri made with directly sourced rice produced in Pal System's directly sourced partner regions. Using Pal System's original product ingredients, they will introduce arranged onigiri that offer a luxurious feel with a little ingenuity.

After tasting the cooked menus, Pal System's original sweets will also be served. While enjoying the meal, participants will share their own Pal System usage tips and experiences.

"Onigiri Good" to Eat, Smile, Make, and Feel Warm

Starting in April 2026, the Pal System Group is promoting the "Onigiri Good" action, which aims to promote rice consumption by eating onigiri and improve domestic food self-sufficiency. Actions such as participation in onigiri-related events and SNS posts are counted as "actions." When 10,000 actions are achieved, 1 ton of directly sourced rice will be donated to children's cafeterias in the 12 prefectures within the group's business area.

By holding this event, we aim to promote the use of directly sourced rice and contribute to social activities by having participants eat slightly luxurious onigiri, smile, and feel the warmth of handmade food.
