Palsystem Gunma (Headquarters: Nakaruimachi, Takasaki City; President: Makiko Ohira) and Thespa Gunma Luminous (Higashihoncho, Ota City; Representative: Kazuaki Sunaga) will set up a booth at the 'Chiyoda Kids Sports Festival' held at Chiyoda-machi Tobu Sports Park in Oura District on Tuesday, May 5th (holiday), from 10:00 to 15:00. They will call for a food drive to help support people in need with unused food items. This initiative contributes to food loss reduction and solving social issues in cooperation with the local community.
Lottery for goods signed by players
Palsystem Gunma is joined by the Ota-based women's soccer team 'Thespa Gunma Luminous' in calling for food donations. The two organizations have been collaborating since last fiscal year, both aiming to achieve the regional SDGs.
The special booth at the 'Chiyoda Kids Sports Festival' will accept donations of surplus food from households. Players will join in calling for food donations from visitors. The donated food will be inspected for expiration dates and delivered to those in need through local food bank operators.
