Hamanaka Hosts 'Amidaore Fes' Knitting Event Across Japan

Hamanaka Co., Ltd. is hosting 'Amidaore Fes,' a participatory event where knitting enthusiasts gather to enjoy their craft freely. Scheduled for June 2026, the events will take place at the Nihon Vogue-sha building in Nakano, Tokyo, and the Kanariya main store in Sapporo, Hokkaido. These events offer workshops, exhibitions, and networking opportunities for everyone from beginners to experts. Started in 2016, 'Amidaore Fes' is characterized by its casual style, where participants bring their own projects rather than following a structured workshop. Due to the recent knitting boom, it has become a popular event attracting over 100 participants. In Tokyo, the event will collaborate with Nihon Vogue-sha’s 'Dama-Off' event, known for connecting readers of the popular magazine 'Keito Dama.' In Sapporo, the event will feature comedian and crafter Aiper Takizawa, who will share his knitting expertise and sell his new book. The events include sales of kits and tools, live streaming, and social media campaigns to engage the community.
