Newell Brands Japan LLC Coleman Business Division (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "Coleman") announces that Yutaka Nakazato, Representative Director and President, will retire on June 30, 2026, and Mark Pansard will assume the position of Representative Director and President on July 1, 2026.

Greeting from the New Representative Director and President, Mark Pansard

My driving force in the sports and outdoor industry has been to build iconic brands with a spirit of continuous improvement. For over 23 years based in Japan, I have dedicated most of that time to enhancing brand profitability from the perspectives of both Japanese companies' headquarters and local operations.

Specifically, in my roles as General Manager/Managing Director, I led business turnarounds by accelerating sales expansion and monetization for four overseas brands in the Japanese market. Furthermore, at the headquarters of two Japanese companies, I supported the growth of their respective global brands as a leader in marketing and sales.

Through these experiences at both headquarters and local levels, I have served as a "trusted bridge" connecting global headquarters, APAC, and Japan, aligning stakeholders on strategic design regarding "where to compete and what is needed to win." I am now excited to further accelerate Coleman's momentum as Representative Director and President.

About Coleman

Founded in the United States in 1900, Coleman has built trust through its high technical capabilities and quality, starting with the development of innovative lanterns. As a comprehensive outdoor brand, it has grown alongside the development of outdoor culture under the philosophy of "If it doesn't work, you don't pay." In the late 1960s, its product range expanded to include all types of camping gear, and today it continues to convey the joy and value of the outdoors worldwide.

In Japan, the brand's operations began on May 12, 1976, and for many years, it has provided products and experiences that resonate with consumers. Coleman has actively engaged in Japan-specific initiatives, such as developing the "Dark Room Technology" series for comfort in humid environments, the upcycling initiative "MFYR," and support for disaster-stricken areas. Furthermore, it has consistently communicated the message "Nature Grows Kids," advocating for the importance of outdoor experiences for children, particularly among families, and proposing the value of connecting with nature and with each other.

As we approach our 50th anniversary of founding in Japan in 2026, we will express our gratitude to everyone in various ways throughout this milestone year. Fifty years have passed alongside the joy of the outdoors. We will continue to support your enriched time connected with nature, by your side.
