The Hakone Venetian Glass Museum, operated by Hakone Glass Forest Resort Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi; President: Yukio Taniguchi), a group company of Daikoku Denki Co., Ltd., will hold a special exhibition titled "Venetian Glass in Paintings: The Hakone Venetian Glass Museum Collection" from July 18, 2026, to January 11, 2027, to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Glass has a history of approximately 4,000 years alongside humanity. Artists throughout history have been captivated by its mysterious transparency and play of light, depicting glass vessels in numerous masterpieces. This exhibition traces the history of craftsmanship through "Venetian glass depicted in Western paintings," showcasing approximately 100 masterpieces from the museum's collection alongside 22 reproduction paintings.
