The Ocean Folklore Town Project, an initiative by the Nippon Mukashibanashi Association, held a screening of the local ocean folklore animation 'God of the Sea' at the '9th Iwami Town Squid Festival' held around Tagosaki Port in Iwami Town on Saturday, March 28, 2026. At the venue, in addition to the animation screening, there were storytelling sessions of old tales by local storytellers and workshops for making original tin badges, making it a day for many families to become familiar with the local culture.

This event is part of the 'Umi-to-Nippon Project' (The Ocean and Japan Project) led by The Nippon Foundation, which aims to connect people through the sea to pass down rich and beautiful oceans to the next generation.
