Event Overview

Socius Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Sera Yun) today began accepting nominations for the "Future Leaders Climate Track," a new addition to the invitation-only executive summit "Tech for Impact Summit 2027 (T4IS2027)," scheduled for May 18-19, 2027, in Tokyo.

At T4IS2026, many participating executives, investors, and policymakers expressed a desire for more continuous engagement with the next generation of founders. This track was established in response to that feedback as a curated program by T4IS.

What is the Future Leaders Climate Track?

The Future Leaders Climate Track is a small, selective cohort for next-generation founders utilizing AI in the fields of climate, decarbonization, and physical AI. It is not a typical pitch contest where applicants compete for prizes or funding. Instead, it operates as a curated selection by T4IS, inviting founders to join the invitation-only network on equal footing with the summit's speakers, partners, and attendees.

Selected founders will be provided with a short spotlight session on the T4IS2027 main stage and strategic matching with institutional investors, corporations, and policymakers.

Nomination Criteria—T4IS Curation Policy

T4IS anticipates that the most significant economic and social impact over the next decade will come from the full-scale implementation of AI in the following areas. The Future Leaders Climate Track targets founders from pre-seed to Series A stages active in these domains.

Focus Areas

- AI x Industrial Decarbonization: AI-centric decarbonization solutions in heavy industries such as steel, cement, chemicals, refining, fertilizers, transport fuels, mining, and agriculture. - AI x Climate Adaptation: Solutions for water resources, food security, and climate-resilient infrastructure, with a view toward deployment in both emerging and developed nations. - Physical AI / Industrial Robotics: AI-driven physical systems in manufacturing, construction, and logistics. - Frontier Energy: AI optimization for next-generation energy sources like nuclear fusion, geothermal, and biomass. - MRV / Climate Modeling: Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) of climate data and AI-powered climate modeling.

Target Stage

- Pre-seed to Series A: Generally within 5 years of founding. - AI at the Core: The product must be AI-native in design, not just an AI feature added to existing software. - Global Ambition: Must have a track record or concrete plans for expansion into European, Tokyo, or emerging markets.

Ineligible

- AI products for general consumers. - Companies primarily focused on developing foundational models (LLMs). - Cryptocurrency / Web3 domains (as T4IS2027 will have a separate Web3 track). - Hardware-only businesses without AI/software differentiation. - Companies that merely add AI features to existing SaaS products.

Benefits for Selected Founders

Selected founders will be offered the following opportunities:

- Main Stage Spotlight: A short spotlight session at T4IS2027. - Strategic Matching: Pre-arranged matchmaking with institutional investors, corporations, and policymakers by a dedicated concierge. - Strategy Dialogue Access: Participation in invitation-only, small-group, off-the-record strategic discussions. - VIP Dinner Invitation: Informal networking with speakers and key partners. - T4IS Member Network: Continued access to the community after the summit.

Please note that this track does not involve prizes, funding, or sponsorships. The greatest value offered by this program is the invitation to the summit and the connections with its network of participants.

Selection Process

The T4IS Curation Committee will select founders from the pool of nominees and applicants for the Future Leaders Climate Track.

- Nominations/Applications Open: May 15, 2026 (Today) - Nominations/Applications Close: October 31, 2026 - Curation & Selection: November - December 2026 - Informal Notification to Selected Founders: December 2026 - February 2027 - Official Announcement: From February 2027 onwards.

Value Inherited from T4IS2026
