The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare is promoting the "Smart Life Project" to raise public awareness regarding the extension of healthy life expectancy and the prevention of lifestyle diseases, aiming to realize a society where everyone can live vibrantly.

As part of this initiative, the "Let's Extend Healthy Life Expectancy! Award" is an awards program designed to recognize outstanding initiatives by companies, organizations, and local governments, with the goal of promoting their adoption and establishing them throughout society. The award covers a wide range of health challenges, focusing on the six themes promoted by the "Smart Life Project": moderate exercise, proper diet, smoking cessation, regular health check-ups, quality sleep, and women's health.

We are pleased to announce that applications for the 15th award (Lifestyle Disease Prevention Field) will open on July 1, Reiwa 8 (Wednesday). The application period will run until August 31 (Monday), and we are seeking advanced health promotion practices and widespread awareness activities from regions and organizations across the country.

Awarded initiatives will be featured in a booklet of case studies and introduced on various media, including the official website of the "Smart Life Project." Award-winning companies, organizations, and local governments will also be able to use the award logo mark, enabling them to widely showcase the credibility and social significance of their health promotion activities externally.

What is the "Let's Extend Healthy Life Expectancy! Award"?

This award recognizes companies, organizations, and local governments that are undertaking excellent initiatives for lifestyle disease prevention and health promotion, based on the six themes of the "Smart Life Project" (moderate exercise, proper diet, smoking cessation, quality sleep, regular health check-ups, and women's health).
