SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Eiichi Yonekura, hereinafter "SKY PerfectTV") conducted a sports ability measurement focused on baseball to assess the skills of the members of "Tokyo SKY PerfectTV Honkikkies," a serious amateur baseball team centered around the comedy duo Battery's, who are SKY PerfectTV Pro Baseball Ambassadors, and featuring finalists from M-1 Grand Prix and R-1 Grand Prix.

The baseball ability measurement event was attended by the team's initiator, Ace from Battery's, Jike from Battery's, Tsuji Classic from Nippon no Shachou, Shinnosuke from Sayaka, Watanabe from Kurage, Sugi, Imai Raihachi, and Nishino from Korokoro Chiki Chiki Peppers. Mitsuru Manaka, the team's manager, evaluated each player's abilities, and Takuro's Akagi, who serves as the team's manager, acted as the record keeper. The event was released today, July 6 (Mon), on the "SKY PerfectTV Baseball" YouTube channel.

On a certain day in May 2026, a baseball ability measurement event was held at Komazawa Olympic Park Softball Baseball Field to assess the abilities of "Tokyo SKY PerfectTV Honkikkies" members that directly relate to actual baseball play. Mitsuru Manaka, manager of "Tokyo SKY PerfectTV Honkikkies," evaluated each player on a scale of A to D, and Takuro's Akagi, serving as manager, recorded each player's measurement results.

The measurement events consisted of three categories: "First Base Dash Measurement," which measures the time taken to reach first base from the batter's box; "Contact Hitting Measurement," which involves hitting a pitched ball; and "Trajectory & Power Measurement," a long-tee format where players hit a tossed ball to measure their hitting trajectory and power. These events were used to measure each member's running and hitting abilities.

During the measurement event, Ace from Battery's demonstrated high contact hitting ability and speed. In the running ability measurement, Jike from Battery's and Watanabe from Kurage competed for the lowest rank. There were also many humorous moments typical of Honkikkies, such as the lively banter between Shinnosuke from Sayaka and Imai Raihachi. The hitting of Sugi from Kurage, who hit a single off a pitcher throwing 145 km/h in a previous practice game, and the powerful, dynamic batting of Nishino from Korokoro Chiki Chiki Peppers were also highlights.

The baseball ability measurement event, including the results for all members, is available on the "SKY PerfectTV Baseball" YouTube channel. Additionally, on the same day as the measurement event, a practice game was held against "Tokyo Colors," a team formed by former Tokyo Yakult Swallows player Tsuyoshi Ueda. Q1. Please share your thoughts on today's baseball ability measurement event.

Ace-san)

I felt like I can still move well! Honestly, I didn't feel like "my legs don't move this much anymore." I listened to others saying that, thinking, "I don't want to be saying this in another 5 years" (laughs).

Jike-san)

I was the opposite of Ace (laughs). I was surprised at how much I've stopped being able to move. Even when I ran, I felt like I wasn't moving forward at all, and when I was batting, I felt like my stomach was getting in the way. I started laughing partway through (laughs).

Q2. Please tell us which members you think were active today.

Ace-san)

Shinnosuke-san. He was fast, had power, and was a good contact hitter. He also works out, so I thought his abilities were high. I'm looking forward to seeing more from him.

Jike-san)

Today, it's Shinnosuke-san for me too. He hit well in the long tee, and his batted balls were good. It was a day to confirm, "Shinnosuke-san can actually do this properly!" (laughs).

Q3. Were there any other members who left an impression on you?

Manaka-san)

Nakaochi-kun's movements as a shortstop were good, and I was reminded of his high physical abilities.

Jike-san)

For me, it was Watanabe-san (laughs). Until now, I've always been the slowest runner on any amateur baseball team, but I won by 0.12 seconds (laughs). This is my first time experiencing something like this, so I was happy.

Also, speaking of practice games, it was memorable that Takuro's Akagi, despite being an M-1 champion, was diligently writing down the score (laughs). In the first inning, he only wrote "E." I felt bad thinking, "He came all the way here to record errors after winning M-1" (laughs).

Q4. Finally, please give a message to your fans and the media.

We saw some challenges in our defense this time, but we also had many gains. Next time, we want to get our first win. We'll play seriously to win and show you a good game.

Ace-san)

Everyone, please exercise moderately (laughs). Moving your body is really important, and amateur baseball is fun. Let's enjoy baseball together!

Currently, we're focusing on practice games, but eventually, we aim to participate in and host tournaments. The many errors we made this time were just us getting rid of the team's impurities (laughs). We'll only get stronger from here, so please look forward to it!
