ZEEBOON Co., Ltd., which operates the Bangkok photo studio “Hime to Samurai,” conducted a survey on how people preserve memories from overseas trips. The survey targeted men and women in their 20s and 30s who had traveled abroad within the past year. It found that the most common way to keep travel memories is through photo and video data, followed by local souvenirs and specialty products, and physical items such as airline tickets and brochures. When respondents looked back on their overseas travel memories, the items they valued most were photos and videos of beautiful local scenery and architecture, followed by photos and videos featuring themselves or their travel companions. About 80% of respondents who preserve overseas travel memories said they share travel photos and videos on social media. Their main reasons were to keep a record and to share memories with travel companions. At the same time, around 70% of respondents said they had felt dissatisfied because they could not take photos or videos as well as they wanted. Services they would like to use to preserve overseas travel memories more beautifully included rentals of high-quality cameras and the latest photography equipment, professional editing of photos and videos, and studio photo services where visitors can wear local traditional costumes. The survey was conducted online from April 16 to April 17, 2026, among 440 men and women in their 20s and 30s who had traveled abroad within the past year. The survey panel was provided by RC Research Data. ZEEBOON said the findings reveal a gap between travelers’ desire to preserve beautiful travel photos and their dissatisfaction with their own ability to capture them. The company’s Bangkok-based “Hime to Samurai” photo studio offers photo sessions with Thai and Japanese traditional costumes, full-scale sets, and professional photographers, helping customers create special lifelong memories beyond ordinary sightseeing.
