Jupiter Technology Begins Offering Checkmk 'Synthetic Monitoring' Option

Jupiter Technology Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fuchu City, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yukihiro Ishikawa; hereinafter Jupiter Technology) has begun offering a new optional feature, 'Synthetic Monitoring,' for its hybrid IT infrastructure monitoring solution 'Checkmk.'

Moving to User-Centric Monitoring with Checkmk Synthetic Monitoring

This feature continuously monitors the availability, response performance, and functional correctness of web services and business applications by periodically executing scenario tests that simulate actual user operations. It enables early detection of user-experience-level issues that are difficult to detect with traditional server monitoring or alive monitoring, such as 'cannot log in to the application,' 'purchase process does not complete,' or 'screen transitions are extremely slow.'

The Checkmk Synthetic Monitoring now being offered supports the following monitoring scenarios:
- Web application login monitoring
- E-commerce site purchase flow monitoring
- API response verification
- Business application operation monitoring
- Location-based user experience monitoring

Furthermore, monitoring results are visualized together with infrastructure monitoring information on the Checkmk dashboard, speeding up root cause analysis during incidents. By centrally managing monitoring alerts, service status, and performance information, it also contributes to reducing operational burden.

This feature is based on the open-source test automation framework 'Robot Framework' and is compatible with a wide range of environments, including Web APIs and Windows applications. Its reusable keyword-based design enables the construction of easy-to-operate test case scenarios.

Smooth Implementation

This option requires no installation of additional modules or complex configuration changes; it can be used immediately upon application. It can be introduced into existing Checkmk license environments without requiring a system restart, maintaining current monitoring operations.
