GEOSURF Begins Domestic Distribution of SkylandX Products

GEOSURF CORPORATION (hereinafter GEOSURF) has announced the signing of a distribution agreement with SkylandX, marking the commencement of official sales and support for SkylandX products within Japan.

GEOSURF has consistently provided advanced spatial information technology to the domestic market, including GNSS surveying instruments, laser RTK, SLAM LiDAR, and drone solutions. This addition of SkylandX products will further strengthen synergies with the existing portfolio, enabling proposals to a wider range of users. In particular, the expansion into entry-level SLAM scanners and drone-compatible solutions is expected to serve as a new development in the Japanese market, complementing GEOSURF's current high-end SLAM scanner products.

A key focus of this announcement is the new entry-level SLAM scanner, 'MetaCam Lite', equipped with SkylandX's proprietary LiDAR.

■ MetaCam Lite - Making SLAM Solutions More Accessible

'MetaCam Lite' is a new entry-level SLAM scanner featuring SkylandX's proprietary LiDAR. It is designed with a focus on lightweight portability, ease of operation, and cost-effectiveness. GEOSURF anticipates this model will offer a more accessible price point for SLAM solutions, complementing existing high-performance models.

■ MetaCam Air 2

'MetaCam Air 2' is SkylandX's flagship handheld SLAM scanner. In addition to a lightweight and compact chassis, it is equipped with AI-based SOTA-SLAM algorithms, support for 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), and 'TimeSync 3.0', a microsecond-level sensor synchronization technology. It enables real-time color point cloud generation and high-precision spatial reconstruction. It also supports RTK/GNSS, achieving centimeter-level positioning accuracy, and is compatible with various data formats such as JPG, LAS, RCP, and PLY.

■ MetaCam Fly

'MetaCam Fly' is an autonomous flight drone platform currently under development by SkylandX. It is designed for high-precision operations in environments where GNSS is unavailable and is planned to feature AI Flight Brain technology, intelligent obstacle avoidance, autonomous flight, and automatic return-to-home functions. It is intended for use in complex environments such as infrastructure inspection, mining, forestry, and industrial plants. Future plans include support for high-precision 3D spatial data generation via the 3D Reality Reports feature.

■ Exhibition at CSPI-EXPO 2026

GEOSURF plans to showcase SkylandX products at its booth during 'CSPI-EXPO 2026 (International Construction and Surveying Exhibition)', held at Makuhari Messe in June 2026. The exhibition will feature the new entry-level 'MetaCam Lite', alongside the 'MetaCam Air 2' and other latest SLAM solutions and drone technologies from SkylandX.
