Industry First! Accelerating Corporate "Nature Positive" Initiatives: Launch of "MeGreen Workshop," an Experiential Training Program to Build Miniature Ecosystems in Offices

GEX Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Higashiosaka City, Osaka; President: Hiroki Gomi), a leading aquarium product manufacturer, has launched the "MeGreen Workshop," an experiential training program for companies designed to support the realization of "Nature Positive," a global goal for 2030.

1. Background of the "MeGreen Workshop"
Global attention toward "Nature Positive" (halting and reversing biodiversity loss) is rising. However, many companies face challenges such as "not knowing where to start" or "struggling to make SDGs relevant to employees." GEX launched this project to provide a space where employees can experience the cycle of life by recreating a "small earth," simultaneously enhancing environmental awareness and organizational vitality.

2. Concept of MeGreen
"MeGreen" combines the wish of "Me (for me) Green" with the "cycle" of nature. Participants build a "self-contained miniature ecosystem (micro-ecosystem)" in glass containers where aquatic plants, fish, and microorganisms coexist. It serves as a "living teaching material" that shifts consciousness from viewing nature as an "object to be protected" to a "partner in coexistence."

3. Workshop Content (90 minutes)
- Lecture (25 min): Basics of Nature Positive and the mechanism of "nitrogen circulation" in aquariums.
- Creation (25 min): Planting aquatic plants to create a "small earth."
- Management (20 min): Learning about "observation skills" and "coexistence" through maintenance.
- Discussion (20 min): Sharing insights and actions for the future.
The created aquarium can be placed in the office or taken home.

- Location: Company office or external venues (Currently limited to the Kansai region).
- Included: Instructor dispatch, aquarium kits, management manuals, and post-implementation support.
- Fee: Starting from 10 participants; custom quotes based on scale (Reference price: from 15,000 JPY per person).
