Collaboration Launched for AI and Automation Solution Development in Manufacturing

Open Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Open Group Co., Ltd., has launched a collaboration with JRC Engineering Co., Ltd. to develop AI and automation solutions for manufacturing sites. In this collaboration, we will combine Open's expertise in RPA, AI, and business automation with JRC Engineering's embedded, control, and software development technologies to promote AI utilization, equipment data integration, and business automation in manufacturing. Currently, the manufacturing industry faces critical challenges such as labor shortages, the aging of skilled technicians, and the need to improve productivity and maintain quality. While expectations for AI and digital technology are rising, implementation at manufacturing sites often stalls due to issues like connectivity with on-site equipment and the need for closed-network environments. Through this collaboration, we aim to build a system that can handle everything from requirements definition to maintenance, focusing on 'AI and automation that can actually be used on-site,' aiming for support that goes beyond PoC to ensure on-site adoption.
