Suntory Ltd. will launch seven new vintages of its Japanese wine brand 'SUNTORY FROM FARM,' including 'SUNTORY FROM FARM Iwadarehara Merlot 2022,' starting September 8 (Tuesday) nationwide in limited quantities.

Guided by the philosophy that 'great wine starts with great grapes,' Suntory has spent over 100 years mastering cultivation and winemaking techniques suited to Japan’s unique climate. Under the brand concept 'FROM FARM (everything begins in the vineyard),' we continue to enhance wine quality through meticulous craftsmanship.

This release features grapes sourced primarily from the Shinshu Saltori Winery in Nagano Prefecture, expressing the unique character of each region. We aim to expand our fan base and strengthen the visibility of Shinshu as a premium wine-producing region.

*From September 1, 2026 (Tuesday), the winery will be renamed 'Suntory Saltori Winery' (refer to Press Release No. 15082).

'SUNTORY FROM FARM Iwadarehara Merlot 2022'

A full-bodied red wine with harmonious aromas of dark cherry and oak, offering a concentrated, rich palate.

'Same Saltori Merlot 2023'

An elegant red wine with aromas of ripe fruit, balanced tannins, and a smooth, well-rounded finish.

'Same Saltori Muscat Bailey A 2023'

A medium-bodied red with complex fruit aromas reminiscent of wild strawberries and blueberries, followed by natural sweetness and lingering concentration.

'Same Saltori Merlot Rosé 2025'

A refreshing rosé with bright aromas of white peach and cherry, complemented by zesty citrus notes. Crisp acidity balances Merlot’s soft fruitiness for a delightful profile.

'Same Takayama Village Chardonnay 2025'

A crisp, dry white wine with fruity aromas of apple and pineapple harmonizing with subtle oak toastiness, offering bright acidity and a smooth, refined finish.

'Same Shinshu Matsumoto Aromatic Assemblage Blanc 2025'

A dry white blend crafted from multiple base wines produced in the Azusa River area of Matsumoto City. Layered aromas of pear, white peach, and citrus unfold, supported by pleasant acidity and a silky texture.

'Same Shinshu Matsumoto Aromatic Assemblage Rosé 2025'

A dry rosé blending Merlot and other grape varieties from the Azusa River region. Vibrant aromas of grapefruit, apple, and herbs lead to a smooth, balanced palate with harmonious fruit and acidity.

● Packaging Redesign

Coinciding with the renaming to 'Suntory Shinshu Saltori Winery,' the packaging for the 'Iwadarehara' and 'Saltori' series has been refreshed. 'Iwadarehara Merlot' features deep purple Japanese washi paper, symbolizing elegance and inner strength. The 'Saltori Merlot,' 'Saltori Muscat Bailey A,' and 'Saltori Merlot Rosé' now showcase a silver brand logo inspired by Saltori and delicate line art reflecting the wines’ graceful character.
