Suntory (Co.) will release five types of French new wines, including "Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau 2026," nationwide starting November 19 (Thu).

Beaujolais Nouveau is a new wine made from grapes harvested in the Beaujolais region, which is said to be blessed with a favorable climate and suitable for high-quality winemaking within the Burgundy region of France. It is enjoyed worldwide as a seasonal wine released on the third Thursday of November every year.

The Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau captivates wine lovers around the world with its vibrant and charming aroma and taste. It has won awards every year since the first "Lyon Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Competition" in 2002, and is highly regarded as the No. 1 award-winning brand in France. It is also supported by customers in Japan as the No. 1 selling Beaujolais Nouveau brand.

*1: According to Georges Duboeuf's own research from the official Lyon Beaujolais Nouveau Competition

Since starting our partnership with Georges Duboeuf in 1996, we have continued to propose enjoying the annual release of new wines, marking our 30th anniversary this year. This year, with the desire for customers to enjoy time with close friends and family through Beaujolais Nouveau, we are releasing five types, including "Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau 2026."

This time, we have adopted the "[Raw]"*3 method, which deliberately avoids cooling treatment, for all products. By retaining the original aroma and umami components of the grapes, we aim for a fresher and fruitier taste. Furthermore, continuing from last year, we have adopted "Art Labels" by artists and illustrators. The hand-drawn style illustrations express the warmth of hand-picking, and the colorful depiction of local flora and fauna in the Beaujolais region expresses the original deliciousness and light, fruity taste of Beaujolais Nouveau.

In addition, we have kept the prices unchanged*4, with the hope that many customers will continue to enjoy it casually and that the culture of Beaujolais Nouveau will be passed on.

*3: Refers to not applying temperature changes such as heat or cooling treatment.

*4: Prices are open. Catalog prices remain unchanged from last year.

● About the Products

"Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau 2026"

As a symbol of Beaujolais Nouveau produced by Georges Duboeuf, this product is made inheriting the blending philosophy of founder Georges Duboeuf. It is a bottle filled with the unique charm of Beaujolais Nouveau, overflowing with the aroma of fruits and flowers, and possessing a light and fruity taste. This year, we adopted the "[Raw]" method to achieve a fruitier taste. The art label, depicting colorful flowers, butterflies, bees, and ladybugs, expresses the rich nature of the Beaujolais vineyards and adds vibrancy to your table.

"Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau 2026"

This is a higher-grade Beaujolais Nouveau made from grapes harvested in 2026, specifically from the 38 villages*5 in the northern part of the Villages region, known for producing exceptionally high-quality grapes. It is characterized by its rich and smooth taste, with a more concentrated fruitiness and a bouquet-like aroma.

*5: A region located in the northern part of the Beaujolais region, consisting of 38 villages.

"Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Rosé Nouveau 2026 Rosé"

"Rosé" is a coined word in French meaning "between rosé and red." Using a method called saignée, the grape skins are macerated with the wine juice for a short period, resulting in a dry rosé wine with a rich fruitiness like red berries, a well-rounded taste, and a moderate astringency and body.

"Georges Duboeuf Orange Nouveau 2026"*6

This is an orange wine made by fermenting white grape skins and seeds along with the juice. This vibrantly finished Orange Nouveau, made with white grapes harvested this year, is characterized by its fresh crispness and flavors reminiscent of juicy oranges and white peaches.

*6: As it does not use grapes from the Beaujolais region, it is not "Beaujolais Nouveau."

"Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau Sélection Plus 2026"

This is the highest class in the "Georges Duboeuf" Beaujolais series, made only from "top cuvée" grapes recognized as the best of the year by Georges Duboeuf from approximately 3,000 grape producers throughout the Beaujolais Villages appellation. It features a deep flavor with high concentration. The 2025 vintage won a gold medal (Médaille d’Or) at the official competition "Beaujolais Nouveau Lyon Cup 2025."
