■ Development Background

Products equipped with lithium-ion batteries require caution as they can emit smoke or ignite due to defects or degradation. According to information released by the Tokyo Fire Department, "mobile batteries" accounted for the largest number of fires by usage category in Reiwa 5 (2023). *1

In response to this situation, the "Flame-Resistant Mobile Battery Case" series, developed with the aim of naturally incorporating "just in case" preparedness into "everyday belongings" rather than as "special disaster preparedness," now includes the "Flame-Resistant Mobile Battery Case Hard Type," a new model with enhanced external impact protection performance.

■ Product Features

This product is a disaster preparedness item that can be carried daily, aimed at suppressing damage from accidents such as overheating or ignition of mobile batteries. It employs a 4-layer structure comprising a silicone coating and glass fiber cloth on the outer layer, and rigid EVA and flame-retardant fabric on the inner layer, designed to suppress the spread of flames and heat. Furthermore, the semi-hardshell structure made of EVA material protects the mobile battery from pressure within a bag or impact from drops. A fire-resistant zipper is used for the opening and closing part, designed to reduce heat transfer from the opening. The inside of the case is equipped with convenient pockets for storing cables, allowing you to carry your mobile battery and charging cable together. Since it does not use any metal materials, it can be used with peace of mind without malfunction even when storing mobile batteries compatible with wireless charging standards such as MagSafe, Qi/Qi2 (Patent Pending).

With the theme of "Disaster preparedness you carry every day," it balances a stylish design conscious of daily use with the usability unique to hard cases, which are easy to put items in and out of and resist losing their shape. The skin-friendly silicone coating has a water-repellent function, and it is available in two colors: black and gray.
