One Year Since the Launch of the 'NERV Disaster Prevention Supplies Project' by Gehirn and Khara

Gehirn Inc., provider of the 'NERV Disaster Prevention' app and other disaster information services, and Studio Khara, the production company behind the 'Evangelion' series, are pleased to report on the first year of the 'NERV Disaster Prevention Supplies Project' (hereinafter 'the Project'), which was announced in March 2025. We are committed to continuing this initiative. Additionally, we are announcing the launch of a dedicated page on the official 'Evangelion' information site, 'Eva Information,' the release of a talk session video on YouTube featuring Tetsuya Iwanaga (voice of Kensuke Aida), and a call for new manufacturing partners to join the Project.

Today, June 1st, is 'Disaster Prevention Supplies Inspection Day.' This day is observed four times a year—March 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1—to encourage the inspection of disaster supplies at the turn of the seasons. We hope this project serves as a catalyst for checking the expiration dates and conditions of supplies in your homes and workplaces.

◆ One Year of the Project: Products Born from 3 Companies in 2 Categories

The Project is based on the unique concept that the NERV organization from the 'Evangelion' series designates and deploys disaster supplies for Tokyo-3. It involves developing highly practical disaster goods that incorporate the 'Evangelion' worldview.

In the year since the project's announcement in March 2025, three manufacturers have joined, resulting in four products across the 'Food' and 'Hygiene' categories.

Collaboration 1: Holika Foods Co., Ltd. 'NERV Designated Disaster Food' Reprint (Released Oct 2025)
Lineup includes Beef Curry, Beef Bowl, Beef Stew, Chinese-style Rice Bowl, and Stewed Hamburg Steak.

As the first collaboration, Holika Foods (Uonuma, Niigata) released a reprint of their popular 'NERV Designated Disaster Food' originally launched in 2020. These are complete disaster meals that can be eaten warm without fire or water, equivalent to those used by the Self-Defense Forces. They come in special packaging featuring the NERV mark and are currently on sale.

Collaboration 2: Nagaoka Foods Co., Ltd. 'NERV Designated Ume and Rice' and 'NERV Designated 99 Umeboshi' (Released Dec 2025)

Nagaoka Foods (Minabe, Wakayama) released two disaster food products using Kishu Nanko plums. 'Ume and Rice' is a long-term storage canned rice product combined with a whole plum, while '99 Umeboshi' is a high-salt plum product effective for fatigue recovery. Both are additive-free and have a 5-year shelf life.

Collaboration 3: Kakuri Sangyo Co., Ltd. 'NERV Designated Emergency Toilet Pack' (Released March 2026)

Kakuri Sangyo (Sanjo, Niigata) released a disposable emergency toilet pack that can be used without water. It includes 10 individual toilet packs with coagulants, tissue, and trash bags, designed with universal design principles.

◆ Launch of the 'Disaster Prevention Supplies Project' Page on 'Eva Information'

We have launched a dedicated page on the official 'Evangelion' site, 'Eva Information,' to summarize information about the project, including concepts, product introductions, and future updates.

◆ YouTube Talk Session with Tetsuya Iwanaga

We are releasing a talk session video on YouTube today, recorded at the 'EVANGELION:30+' festival in February 2026, featuring voice actor Tetsuya Iwanaga and Gehirn CEO Daiki Ishimori discussing the development of the NERV app and the future of the project.

◆ Future Expansion

Over the past year, we have successfully commercialized products in the disaster food and hygiene categories. We plan to expand into various other categories to enrich the 'disaster supplies deployed to Tokyo-3 citizens.'

◆ Call for Manufacturing Partners

◆ About the NERV Disaster Prevention App

The 'NERV Disaster Prevention' app provides real-time disaster information such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions, optimized for the user's location. Since its release on September 1, 2019, it has reached 8 million cumulative downloads.
