Canon Medical Systems and Elekta Announce Business Collaboration for Radiotherapy Systems

Canon Medical Systems Corporation (Headquarters: Otawara, Tochigi; President: Toshihiko Hori; hereinafter, Canon Medical Systems) and Elekta K.K. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroki Arioka; hereinafter, Elekta) are integrating their sales resources and centralizing service operations for Elekta-manufactured radiotherapy systems to enhance after-sales support and provide greater value to customers.

Accordingly, as of July 1, 2026 (tentative), service operations for Elekta radiotherapy systems—previously conducted by Canon Medical Systems—will be transferred to Elekta. This transition aims to build a more consistent support structure throughout the entire product lifecycle. Canon Medical Systems will continue to handle sales operations for these radiotherapy systems.

Canon Medical Systems has earned high evaluations from numerous medical institutions based on its long-standing technical expertise and extensive track record in the service of radiotherapy systems.

Moving forward, Elekta will inherit the experience accumulated by Canon Medical Systems and leverage its own global service expertise to promote advanced service models incorporating digital transformation. Through initiatives such as remote preventative diagnostics, Elekta will contribute to the stable operation and improved efficiency of medical sites.
