Inspired by Sicily's bright and refreshing food culture, this high tea features a menu incorporating ingredients and flavors symbolic of Sicily, such as blood orange, pistachio, and swordfish.

Furthermore, we have combined these with Nara-specific ingredients like Nara-grown eggplant, Nara-grown wheat, and "Hino Hikari" rice directly from farmers in Katsuragi City, creating dishes unique to Novotel Nara.

You can enjoy a glamorous lineup reminiscent of a Southern Italian resort, from savory dishes and sweets to pizza and main courses. Please experience a journey to Sicily tasted in Nara during the summer season.

Savory Dishes with a Sicilian Breeze

For savory dishes, we offer a menu incorporating traditional Sicilian cuisine and Southern Italian flavors.

"Nara Eggplant Caponata," finished with red wine vinegar, is a classic Sicilian dish with a sweet and sour taste within its rich flavor. "Arancini," made with "Hino Hikari" rice directly from farmers in Katsuragi City, are Sicilian-style rice croquettes with an elegant saffron aroma.

Additionally, "Swordfish Cutlet Slider," inspired by Sicily's representative seafood dishes, is a special item for this high tea. The fragrant swordfish is paired with the rich aroma of orange and the refreshing scent of herbs, creating a light yet flavorful Southern Italian taste.

For sweets, we offer a refreshing summer lineup, focusing on traditional Sicilian confections.

"Cannolo Siciliano" is a representative traditional Sicilian pastry, with a fragrant tubular shell generously filled with rich ricotta cream and accented with pistachios.

"Cassata Siciliana" is a rich and refreshing dessert combining the deep flavor of cheese with the sweet and sour taste of dried fruits and the nutty aroma of pistachios. Furthermore, a tart made with Italian blood oranges offers a rich flavor with its deep sweetness and acidity, complemented by the fragrant aroma of butter.

Pizza Baked with Nara-Grown Wheat, Infused with Sicilian Flavors

For pizza, we use a special dough made from Nara-grown spelt wheat and "Kotobuki" wheat. The two types of Nara-grown wheat are aged at low temperatures for five days and then baked to a fragrant finish in a high-temperature pizza oven.

The topping features mortadella and pistachios, creating a slice that embodies the cheerful atmosphere of Sicily with the savory taste of mortadella and the fragrant aroma of pistachios.

As the main dish, we offer roast beef, slowly cooked to a tender finish at low temperatures.
