Mercure Tottori Daisen Resort & Spa, located at the foot of Mount Daisen in Tottori Prefecture, the highest peak in Japan’s Chugoku region, will offer a limited accommodation plan for June 6, 2026, in conjunction with the annual Daisen Summer Mountain Opening Festival. The plan allows guests to take part in the festival eve’s torch parade, walking with a torch along the stone-paved approach from Ogamiyama Shrine Okunomiya, with shuttle transportation to and from the venue included. The torch parade is scheduled to begin at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Guests may also borrow a foot bath device, and use the hot spring from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the checkout day. The hotel also offers a dedicated accommodation plan for guests who want to enjoy climbing or hiking Mount Daisen. The all-inclusive “Enjoy Climbing and Hiking in Daisen” plan includes dinner, breakfast, lounge access, hot spring access and shuttle service between the hotel and the Daisen trailhead. The hotel’s large public bath includes an open-air bath, sauna and cold bath, and can also be used after checkout when guests return from hiking or climbing. In addition, the hotel marked its second anniversary on April 1, 2026. Its buffet restaurant, Locavore, has introduced new signature menu items inspired by the concept of a marché. The updated buffet highlights the fun of discovery, live-kitchen excitement, and fresh travel experiences, while expanding vegetarian options and children’s menu offerings.
