Airmobility Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Hisashi Asai), which develops a platform for the safe and secure navigation of flying cars, is pleased to announce that it has joined the "Research Group for Medical Activities during Large-Scale Disasters" established by the Institute for Disaster-related Cognitive-behavioral Sciences at Chiba University (Director: Professor Tomoaki Tanaka) and participated in its inaugural meeting held on Saturday, May 9, 2026. [About the Research Group for Medical Activities during Large-Scale Disasters] This research group is a co-creation platform of industry, academia, government, and the private sector that integrally promotes demonstration and implementation of integrated medical care, communications, drone transport, remote sensing, logistics, food/nutrition, energy, construction/infrastructure, ICT, etc., aiming to realize "uninterrupted medical care" that protects the lives and health of residents even during large-scale disasters. [Background of Our Joining] Our company has been working on the social implementation of emergency medical support using sky navigation technology, such as conducting a demonstration experiment of automatic AED transport by drone in collaboration with Chiba University (March 2024). We decided to join this time because the philosophy of this research group aligns with the direction of social contribution through air mobility technology that our company promotes.
