Kosuke Hata of Woodlink Co., Ltd. Receives Precut Master Award (Forestry Agency Director-General Prize)

Woodlink Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Imizu City, Toyama Prefecture; President and CEO: Takeyuki Hara) announces that Kosuke Hata from its Non-Residential Promotion Department received the Precut Master Award (Forestry Agency Director-General Prize) at the 12th Annual General Meeting of the General Incorporated Association of Medium- and Large-Scale Wooden Prefabrication Technology (PWA), held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Ichijo Hall, Yayoi Lecture Theater, The University of Tokyo.

The Precut Master Award honors individuals or organizations that have made significant contributions to the promotion and advancement of wooden prefabrication technology. As the Director-General Prize of the Forestry Agency, it is one of the highest accolades in Japan’s domestic timber industry.

Mr. Hata has long been engaged in promoting and developing technologies for medium- and large-scale wooden buildings at Woodlink’s Non-Residential Promotion Department. This award recognizes his efforts to balance architectural design freedom with construction practicality. His ability to faithfully realize design intent through innovative structural proposals—leveraging wood’s unique properties—and the seamless integration with advanced precut technology were comprehensively praised. He received high evaluations in the three key areas: technical expertise, proposal capability, and coordination skills.

For the awarded project, which required complex 3D structural forms and high aesthetic quality, the team conducted rigorous verification across all phases—design, structure, fabrication, and construction—to ensure the architectural vision was fully realized without compromise. The successful completion of this large-scale, high-difficulty wooden structure through collaboration with other precut companies was also highly commended.
