Wargaming is pleased to announce the launch of numerous new contents in its hit PC online naval action game, World of Warships, as part of Update 15.5, commemorating the 250th anniversary of U.S. Independence. Upon logging in, players will be welcomed at a festively decorated New York Harbor, where they can enjoy themed content including a new story campaign, special camouflages, ships, and an event path packed with destruction effects. Additionally, a brand-new ship customization feature called 'Decals' will be introduced, along with various gameplay changes and improvements.

Story Campaign: 'Dawn of a Glorious Era'

At the heart of this update is an entirely new story campaign titled 'Dawn of a Glorious Era,' composed of four chapters. It portrays the history of the 13 colonies in North America and their path to independence.

Chapters will be unlocked weekly, and by progressing through the story over one month, players can earn valuable themed rewards such as the historical American commanders 'John Glover' and 'John Paul Jones,' the 'Betsy Ross' flag, the Tier VIII American premium cruiser 'Congress,' new enemy destruction effects, and special permanent camouflages for Tier X ships. Furthermore, players can earn progress tokens through activities, which can be used to obtain the 'Dawn of a Glorious Era' container—containing pieces of a historical collection themed around the campaign—and unlock the rare 'Minuteman' camouflage for the super battleship 'Maine.'

Celebrate 250 Years of Independence with the 'Independence 250' Event Path

The celebration continues with the 'Independence 250' Event Path. This Event Path features two progression tracks, allowing players to earn numerous rewards to further enhance their American fleet. The first track, available to all players, includes the unique-voiced commander 'Statue of Liberty,' the permanent camouflage 'Stars ’n’ Stripes,' the 'Artillery Supply Box' container, and as the final reward, the permanent camouflage 'Freedom' for the 'Baltimore.' By unlocking the second track for 2,500 Doubloons, players can aim to obtain the permanent camouflage 'Revolutionary,' the American premium battleship 'Arizona,' the new permanent camouflage 'Old North State' for the 'North Carolina,' and as the final reward, the new enemy destruction effect '13-Gun Salute.' Additionally, the permanent camouflage 'Go Navy!' for the 'Helena' is available as a bonus reward.

Deepen Ship Customization with the New 'Decal' Feature

In addition to the U.S. Independence Day celebrations, Update 15.5 introduces a completely new customization feature called 'Decals,' expanding personalization options for ships. Decals can be obtained from special combat mission containers and allow players to place historically inspired symbols, mottos, and other artwork onto their ship's hull. Currently limited to Tier IX ships, this feature is expected to expand in future updates.

Italian Submarines, Shadow Mapping, and More

In this update, the Italian submarines 'Pietro Micca' and 'Pietro Calvi' remain available via early access. Players can test these stealthy vessels and the unique 'Exhaust Smoke Generator' found only in the Italian tech tree. Each submarine is equipped with main guns using SAP shells, which, when combined with the enhanced consumable 'Main Battery Reload Booster,' can unleash powerful attacks on unsuspecting enemies.

Improvements to in-game shadow mapping are also included, along with the launch of Clan Battles Season 34, three new conflicts, and the arrival of the new rare Tier X battleship 'Sete de Setembro' in the Armory.
