Participate in the Nagoya Castle Encampment Project Stamp Rally

Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the Nagoya Castle Encampment Period

This event offers a new historical tourism experience, unique to the location, while touring the historic grounds where many prominent feudal lords gathered under the command of Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the Sengoku period.

The Nagoya Castle Encampment Project is working to create new tourism experiences utilizing historical resources, centered around the Hizen Nagoya Castle ruins and the surrounding encampment sites remaining in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture. The "Nagoya Castle Encampment QR Stamp Rally" is a special three-day event planned to coincide with the "National Castle Town Symposium."

This project is an app-free digital stamp rally that can be joined by simply scanning QR codes at each location with a smartphone's standard camera. Participation is free, but requires simple registration of your name, phone number, and email address. There is no need to download a dedicated app, and the ease of starting the historical experience immediately upon arrival after registration is a key feature.

The stamp rally covers the encampment sites of 21 major feudal lords scattered around the Nagoya Castle ruins. At each spot, participants can record their arrival by scanning the QR code installed on-site, enjoying an immersive tour experience of the lands associated with the Sengoku warlords.

Furthermore, GPS is used to verify arrival at each location, ensuring that only participants who have actually visited the site can leave a record. By visualizing the discoveries and sense of accomplishment gained by walking the grounds, the event is designed to be enjoyable not only for history enthusiasts but also for tourists and families.

Additionally, at each spot, alongside illustrations of warlords and character information, participants can learn about the lives of the Sengoku warlords and their connection to Nagoya through a three-part story: "Birth," "Days in Nagoya," and "Afterward." The design expands the historical site experience from merely "seeing" to "knowing" and "feeling," which is a major appeal of this project.

Moreover, participants who conquer the encampment sites of all 21 major feudal lords will receive an original title from Toyotomi Hideyoshi, analyzed by AI based on their registered name, travel route, and time taken. Unique titles and congratulatory messages will be awarded to each individual, making their travel memories even more memorable.

The vast encampment sites around the Hizen Nagoya Castle ruins, where national feudal lords gathered under the Toyotomi government, remain as a testament to this history. This project aims to widely promote the charm of the Karatsu-Nagoya area and encourage regional tourism by conveying these local historical assets in an easy-to-understand and enjoyable manner through digital technology, thereby creating new tourism value.

To all Sengoku fans across the country, please accept this "challenge from Toyotomi Hideyoshi" and enjoy three special days filled with historical romance in Nagoya.
