Meganesuper Introduces HOYA's MiYOSMART and Nikon-Essilor's Stellest® as New Options for Childhood Myopia

Meganesuper, operated by Intermecom Co., Ltd., will begin offering HOYA Corporation's myopia control spectacle lenses for children, "MiYOSMART," from Monday, June 1, 2026, and Nikon-Essilor's myopia care lenses for children, "Stellest®," from Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 31 select stores nationwide.

In recent years, the visual environment surrounding children has changed significantly due to the widespread use of smartphones and tablet devices, leading to increased concern about myopia. In this context, both products are spectacle lenses attracting attention as new options for childhood myopia, and both are manufactured based on an ophthalmologist's prescription. The 31 stores targeted this time have been selected based on their ability to handle ophthalmologist prescriptions, as well as the presence of certified opticians and their completion of required training and certifications. Furthermore, coinciding with "Children's Eye Day" on Wednesday, June 10, and the timing of school vision screenings, this initiative aims to promote understanding of appropriate vision care and support the creation of glasses based on diagnosis and prescription, aligning with the increased focus on children's vision.

"MiYOSMART" is a spectacle lens for childhood myopia with a special structure that utilizes D.I.M.S. technology. It has a natural appearance, almost indistinguishable from regular spectacle lenses, and is designed for children's daily use.

An ophthalmologist's prescription is required for purchase. At eligible Meganesuper stores, we provide support for glasses manufacturing, fitting, and aftercare based on the prescription.

・Nikon-Essilor "Stellest®"

"Stellest®" is a myopia care lens for children that utilizes H.A.L.T. technology, based on the optical design technology cultivated by Essilor.

The lens surface features 1,021 micro-aspherical lenslets arranged in 11 concentric circles. A zone for clear vision is provided in the center, designed for comfortable use in various daily scenes such as school life and outdoor activities.

"Stellest®" is a product provided through authorized retailers who have undergone specific training and certification, based on an ophthalmologist's prescription.

An ophthalmologist's prescription is required to manufacture these products. First, please visit an ophthalmologist and obtain a prescription based on the doctor's diagnosis and judgment. With the prescription, visit an eligible store to select frames, arrange for lenses, have glasses manufactured, fitted, and receive aftercare.
