Elementary school students in 5th grade and above can also have the valuable experience of climbing the mast.

"Miraie" is Japan's only private training sailing ship that accepts the general public as "trainees" to participate in authentic sailing voyages*. At the Mojiminato Festival 2026, in addition to experiential voyages for elementary and junior high school students in Kitakyushu City (application deadline passed), opportunities are also being prepared for the general public to experience the sailing ship. The sailing ship "BLUE OCEAN Miraie," operated by the Non-Profit Organization Zeri-Japan, is Japan's only private training sailing ship that operates for the general public.
