Nakau Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Hiroshi Ikematsu, Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo), which operates the "Nakau" chain of rice bowls and Kyoto-style udon, will begin selling "Unagi Gokai Mori" (tax included \2,280) from 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 8.
"Unagi Gokai Mori" was created in response to customer requests to "savor eel to their heart's content," and is a luxurious dish using a whole eel (three slices). The eel, generously and spectacularly piled high on a large serving of rice, offers not only a striking visual impact but also a satisfying meal.
Nakau's eel is slowly grilled, then carefully steamed to remove excess fat, concentrating its flavor. This is followed by three repetitions of glazing with sauce and grilling, resulting in a kabayaki with a fragrant exterior and a fluffy interior. This meticulous cooking process fully brings out the natural deliciousness of the eel. Pairing it with Nakau's original "Special Kyoto-style Sansho" adds a refreshing flavor to the eel's richness, allowing you to enjoy a taste that won't bore you until the very end.
In addition, Nakau will continue to offer a variety of eel products, including "Unaju."
Please enjoy Nakau's eel products at your nearest Nakau store or at home on Sunday, July 26, Doyo no Ushi no Hi.
