Izakaya Murasaki Hatta and Shin-Osaka Stores to Hold Limited-Time “Murasaki Umaimon Festival 2026” Featuring Tohoku Cuisine

Izakaya Murasaki’s Hatta store in Nagoya and Shin-Osaka store in Osaka will hold the limited-time “Murasaki Umaimon Festival 2026” from Monday, May 18. The theme is “A Tohoku Gourmet Journey,” featuring local dishes rooted in regional food culture, including miso-tanpo, Kesennuma horumon, and chicken motsu. The campaign runs from Monday, May 18 to Sunday, July 5, 2026. Participating stores are Murasaki Hatta Store at 2-262 Namiki, Nakamura-ku, Nagoya, Aichi, Phoenix Namiki Building 1F, and Murasaki Shin-Osaka Store at 5-14-10 Nishinakajima, Yodogawa-ku, Osaka, Shin-Osaka Toyota Building 1F. Customers should contact individual stores to confirm whether other Murasaki locations will offer the campaign. The menu includes Aomori beef bara-yaki for 700 yen before tax, Akita miso-tanpo for 300 yen per skewer, Iwate ankake katsudon for 680 yen, Yamagata tama-konnyaku for 290 yen per skewer, Miyagi Kesennuma horumon for 580 yen, and Fukushima chicken motsu for 450 yen. Murasaki has also designated October 1 as Izakaya Murasaki Day. The brand opened its first store in Kyodo, Setagaya, Tokyo, on October 1, 1973, and helped shape the modern izakaya style by popularizing affordable flavored chu-hi and turning izakaya into places where customers enjoy both drinks and food.
