To enable customers to enjoy the taste of Yoshinoya's gyudon at home, the "Frozen Gyudon" was launched in 1993 in collaboration with the Consumers' Co-operative Kobe. For over 30 years since then, it has been widely patronized, expanding its sales channels to co-ops, online shopping sites, home delivery services, and general supermarkets. In 2017 and 2019, it received Rakuten's Shop of the Year award. By 2025, its availability in mass retailers expanded to approximately 7,800 stores, and in February 2026, cumulative shipments exceeded 500 million units.

After 33 years since its launch, Yoshinoya's "Frozen Gyudon" continues to evolve. In 2022, it began selling "Toku-Gyu Salacia Premium," the first Food for Specified Health Uses in the restaurant industry, and the convenient "Room Temperature Storage Type Gyudon." The value customers seek in their meals changes with the times. Yoshinoya will continue to provide satisfaction to as many customers as possible with original products and services.

What is Yoshinoya's "Frozen Gyudon"? It is a frozen product that uses the same raw ingredients (beef, sauce, onions) as in stores, allowing customers to recreate the taste of Yoshinoya's restaurant at home.
