Mizumori Ion (ionmiz.) to Hold Solo Exhibition 'Golden Venus Glimmer' at Laforet Harajuku

Mizumori Ion (Artist name: ionmiz.), who graduated from Tsubomi Daikakumei in 2025 and launched her career as a solo artist, will hold a solo exhibition titled 'ionmiz. Exhibition: Golden Venus Glimmer' at Laforet Harajuku's 'Love and Madness Market' from June 1st to June 30th, 2026. The exhibition will feature and sell approximately 10 canvas paintings and handmade bracelets.

As dawn breaks, the glimmer of Venus seeps into the bare back.
A woman's body, the more it is loved, the more tragic it becomes, emitting a flash that induces nausea.
Dragging this heavy body, she is reborn time and again through constant flickering.
Even if she does not live through mercy, the illusion returns here again and again.

Comment from Mizumori Ion / ionmiz.
'Until now, I have developed works based on the theme of emotions.
I have expressed negative emotions and hatred, such as anger and sadness, which eventually turn into compassion and circulate as love. I believe that natural providence and human emotions are the same thing.
The theme of this 'Golden Venus Glimmer' exhibition is 'woman' and 'body'.
While beauty resides in the female body, I sometimes feel fear and ugliness even more strongly.
I chose this theme because I wanted to confront the true nature of these objective feelings.
Painting visible things rather than invisible ones is difficult and challenging.
I hope you can feel the glimmer of those women who have 'fallen out' of the cycle.'
