It has been announced that YOSHIKI will receive the "Medal of Honor," the highest distinction from the "Entertainment Community Fund," a historic charitable organization supporting the U.S. entertainment industry.
The Entertainment Community Fund Medal of Honor is the organization's highest accolade, bestowed upon individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts and entertainment world. This prestigious award, founded in 1910 and boasting a 116-year history, has previously been awarded to global entertainment icons such as Audrey Hepburn, Robert De Niro, Denzel Washington, and Robert Redford.
YOSHIKI will make history as the first Japanese artist to receive this esteemed award. The award ceremony will be held on June 1, 2026, local time, at the organization's annual gala in New York, where YOSHIKI himself is scheduled to attend and perform. This year, he will be honored alongside other prominent figures in the U.S. entertainment industry, including the cast of HBO Original 'The Gilded Age' and Tony Award-winning producer Daryl Roth.
YOSHIKI commented on this award, stating:

Through my foundation, I have been actively supporting those facing difficulties, especially artists and individuals working in the entertainment industry, believing in the importance of such aid. I wish to dedicate this award to everyone who has supported me, and to all artists who challenge themselves to transcend cultural and genre boundaries."
