Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse will host "Red Brick Sunset 2026" for a total of 30 days from Saturday, August 1, 2026, to Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Plaza. We are pleased to announce the details of the menu and content.

This event, now in its 19th year, welcomed approximately 610,000 visitors last year (*1) and is a popular summer-limited event cherished by many, both within and outside Kanagawa Prefecture, as a "summer tradition" of Yokohama.

This year's theme is "Santa Monica," a popular resort destination representing the West Coast of the United States. 2026 will be a special year for Santa Monica, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the "Route 66," known as a symbol of American development and motorization, and the 250th anniversary of American independence.

The venue will feature a retro cityscape reminiscent of 1950s American diners and a white sandy beach evoking a calm sunset beach. The entrance will recreate Santa Monica's iconic pier, creating a world that makes visitors feel as if they have truly visited the location.

In addition, we will offer American foods such as indulgent hamburgers, pizzas, and tacos, as well as cool sweets like ice cream and American shakes, reminiscent of shops along "Route 66." New this year is "Carnival Games," an "American-style festival" that will further enhance the feeling of an overseas resort vacation. To ensure comfort even in the heat, a cool mist area will be set up, allowing you to enjoy the refreshing coolness and sense of freedom unique to summer.

Venue Recreating Santa Monica: A Beautiful Sunset Resort Meets Cute Retro-Pop Townscape

Santa Monica, the end point of "Route 66" connecting the East and West of the United States, is a popular tourist destination in California on the West Coast, characterized by its vast beaches lined with palm trees and its sophisticated cityscape.

Upon entering the event venue, a bridge recreating the pier in Santa Monica stretches straight towards the back of the venue. The open atmosphere of the West Coast is expressed through a colorful, retro cityscape and a white sandy beach evoking a calm sunset.

Additionally, a photo spot recreating the world of a 1950s American diner will be set up, allowing you to enjoy a space that makes you want to take pictures as if you were traveling in Santa Monica.

The American-style festival "Carnival Games" makes its debut at the event. You can enjoy three games: "PALM TREE SHOOT," a shooting game aiming for a palm tree goal; "CALIFORNIA KNOCKDOWN," where you knock down targets with aim and power; and "SUNSET LIGHT SCOOP," where you scoop up magical sunset candles. Experience exciting competitions that defy the heat, and get your hands on exclusive items only available here! We'll deliver unforgettable summer memories that will captivate everyone from children to adults.

A "Cooling Area" with refreshing mist will be available. We've prepared water features to help you feel cooler, even in the hot weather. <Simultaneous Event "Disco Brick YOKOHAMA">

Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse will also host "Disco Brick YOKOHAMA" for the first time, a music event inspired by the "disco" craze that swept the world from the 1970s to the 1980s, running concurrently with "Red Brick Sunset 2026."

This event will feature a world reminiscent of "disco" from the late 1970s to the early 1980s, with authentic music from top DJs, all enjoyed outdoors while feeling the "Yokohama breeze."

"Red Brick Sunset 2026" actively promotes SDGs initiatives.

◎ Fry to Fly Project

We cooperate with the "Fry to Fly Project," a project aimed at realizing a decarbonized society through domestic resource recycling. Waste cooking oil from the event will be provided for sustainable aviation fuel production. This can reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 80% compared to conventional aviation fuel.

◎ Local Production and Consumption of Renewable Energy

As part of efforts to expand the adoption of renewable energy for decarbonization, we are promoting initiatives that utilize surplus electricity from solar power generation facilities installed in Yokohama households (post-FIT). This will cover approximately 20% of the electricity used by Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, including events, and is expected to reduce annual CO2 emissions by about 440 tons.
