<Event Report> Immersive 'Take a Break' Experience: FLOWER GARDEN 2026 Now Open at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse until April 19th (Sun)! A 'Self-Care' Space Featuring Nostalgic Elements and Flower Color Therapy
The immersive flower event 'FLOWER GARDEN 2026' is currently being held at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse.
The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is hosting 'FLOWER GARDEN 2026' at its Event Plaza for 24 days, from Friday, March 27, to Sunday, April 19, 2026. On the opening day, visitors shared positive feedback, saying, 'It feels great to enjoy an outdoor event in the warm spring weather,' and 'The colorful flowers are so healing.'

Since its inception in 2007, this event has become a beloved 'spring tradition in Yokohama,' offering a vast flower garden overlooking the port with a new theme every year.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, this year's theme is 'Take a Break.' We aim to provide a moment for visitors to step away from their daily routines and catch their breath. Beyond just 'looking at flowers,' we offer a space to 'spend time with flowers,' creating a comfortable environment for everyone to practice 'self-care.'
The 1,200㎡ venue features 20,000 flowers across 36 varieties. The color palette is curated based on flower color therapy to help visitors relax, while elements evoking a sense of 'furusato' (hometown)—filled with nostalgia and warmth—are scattered throughout.
Whether you want to lie down and look at the blue sky, enjoy a conversation with loved ones, or let children play freely, we welcome you to enjoy a comfortable 'break' in your own way.
■ Features to help you 'Take a Break'
● Relax with Flower Color Therapy
In line with the 'Take a Break' theme, the flowers are arranged in six colors based on flower color therapy: purple for 'Imagination' (psychological), yellow and white for 'Pure' (environmental), and pink for 'Love' (physical).

● 'Furusato' (Hometown) Photo Spots
The garden features nostalgic elements, such as a flower-decorated 'train platform' paying homage to the former station that once stood at the Red Brick Warehouse, and a 'flower waterwheel' inspired by the veranda of a traditional house.

● Music for the Ears
The venue features background music tailored to each area, with live performances by 'Minato Mirai STREET MUSIC' on select days. Visitors can enjoy jazz, pop, and classical music while viewing the flowers, creating a peaceful escape from the daily hustle.
■ Learn and Discover: Content to Deepen Your Flower Experience
● Outdoor Library & Mobile Library 'Hamakaze-go'
An 'Outdoor Library' allows visitors to learn about flower characteristics and language while relaxing. On April 11 (Sat), the Yokohama mobile library 'Hamakaze-go' will also visit, featuring flower-themed books and storytelling sessions for children.
● Collaboration with Pressed Flower Artist Nobuo Sugino
We are collaborating with renowned pressed flower artist Nobuo Sugino. Visitors can enjoy workshops and exhibitions, including the creation of pressed flower accessories and cards, on April 4th and 5th.
● Sustainable Initiatives to Reduce 'Flower Loss'
New initiatives include workshops using non-standard flowers to reduce waste, aiming to create a cycle of kindness that extends from the event to your home.
■ Day vs. Night: Two Ways to Enjoy
During the day, the colorful flowers and wooden play areas create a bright, cheerful atmosphere. At night, the garden and the Red Brick Warehouse are illuminated, creating a magical, dreamlike landscape. Visitors can enjoy the different expressions of the garden throughout the day.
The 'CAFE FLIGHT LOUNGE' offers one-handed snacks, parfaits, and sandwiches featuring edible flowers, as well as original drinks created in collaboration with Kagome, featuring vegetable juices.
Weekly themed markets will be held, featuring flowers, workshops, local Yokohama goods, and coffee/tea/sweets.
