Yoshikawa Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Representative Director and President: Hiroshi Hanaoka) has launched a new safety block compatible model for its "Harness Alert" system, which automatically detects when safety belt hooks are not used during work at height.

This model supports sites using safety blocks, such as bridge construction, roof work, ladder climbing, and truck loading/unloading, expanding safety measures for high-altitude work.

Inquiries, demonstrations, and requests for materials will begin in April 2026, with sequential shipments scheduled from late May 2026.

This product automatically detects the usage status of safety belt hooks and issues an alarm when they are not in use, thereby supporting the prevention of falls from height at work sites.

*This system detects when the safety belt hook is returned to the hook holder (i.e., unused state), and does not directly determine whether the hook is securely attached to a structure.

*A safety block is a fall arrest device equipped with a rope winding mechanism.

■ Social Background: Approximately 1/4 of fatal industrial accidents are "falls from height"

According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's "Status of Industrial Accidents," approximately one in four fatal industrial accidents are due to "falls from height," and this has remained the highest level for over 10 years.

While the use of safety belts (fall arrest equipment) is mandatory for work at height, human errors such as forgetting to attach hooks still cause accidents.

1. Automatic detection and alarm for unused safety block hooks

Using a technology that combines magnetic fields and radio waves, it automatically detects the usage status of safety block hooks. When not in use, it emits a warning sound to prompt workers to securely attach them.

2. Real-time warning in the work area

By installing rope-type, spot-type, or wide-type area setting devices, an alarm is issued if the safety block is not used within the work area.

3. Remote monitoring via cloud (optional)

The usage status of safety belts at the site can be checked remotely, contributing to advanced safety management.

4. Compatible with various high-altitude tasks
