Yayoi Delight Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, Representative Director: Keiji Aono / hereinafter "Yayoi Living") is pleased to announce the launch of a new project in collaboration with Morioka Zoological Park ZOOMO (Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture) and Shidotaira Onsen Co., Ltd. (Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture), where "staying" contributes to animal welfare.

The purpose of this project is to build a "social circulation model" that connects inspiring experiences through accommodation to understanding, interest, and support for animal welfare.

1. Background and Purpose of the Partnership
Currently, due to human neglect in satoyama (traditional Japanese agricultural landscapes), the environment has changed, and various issues such as biodiversity loss and crop damage have become apparent. These problems are expected to become even more serious in the future, and there is a need to foster understanding and interest throughout society.

Morioka Zoological Park ZOOMO has emphasized creating an "entrance" where visitors' interest in animals and nature naturally expands through the lingering impression of their experiences, rather than simply conveying the current situation as "correctness." However, there were limits to what the zoo could communicate alone, and a new mechanism was needed for more everyday contact points.

Against this backdrop, Yayoi Living, whose motto is "Giving shape to each individual's aspirations," resonated with the philosophy of this project and took the lead in planning and conceptualization. Furthermore, with the participation of Hotel Shidotaira, which attracts approximately 100,000 visitors annually, the initiative has become concrete.

By utilizing the hotel space, which involves longer stays and daily activities such as dining, bathing, and resting, the project aims to deepen understanding of animals and nature as an "experience" and to stimulate interest based on inspiration. Furthermore, by connecting that interest to continuous support, the project aims to build a new circulation model that contributes to animal welfare and environmental conservation.
