Yasaka Group Companies in Kyoto Welcome New Employees for FY2026: New Talent Gathers to Lead Tourism and Mobility

Yasaka Group companies, including Yasaka Jidosha Co., Ltd. (Yasaka Group Headquarters, hereinafter: Yasaka Jidosha), are pleased to announce that they held entrance ceremonies in spring 2026, welcoming a total of 60 new employees across the group.

Yasaka Jidosha held an entrance ceremony for two new employees (professional drivers: new graduate drivers) on April 1st. Five people attended the ceremony, including President Akimitsu Kumeda.

In his address to the new employees, President Kumeda stated, "I want you to cherish 'Safety, Comfort, and Trust,' which the company has valued." He further expressed his expectations, saying, "Aim for customer service that makes our customers think, 'Today was a good day,'" and conveyed the message that accumulating such efforts "will lead to building trust."

Afterward, self-introductions and aspirations from the new employees, followed by messages from attendees, concluded the entrance ceremony in a harmonious atmosphere.

Currently, new employees are undergoing initial training with the aim of being assigned by this summer. After assignment, they will work as taxi drivers while honing the knowledge and skills necessary for tourist taxi operations, such as internal tourism examinations and acquiring Kyoto certification. We expect them to play an active role on the front lines in Kyoto, where tourism demand is strong, starting from the autumn tourist season this year.

In addition, the Yasaka Group's Yasaka Kanko Bus Co., Ltd., which operates tourist bus businesses in the Kansai region, held an entrance ceremony on March 27th, welcoming two university graduate drivers as new members. These two are the first new graduate drivers hired through the "Yasaka Group Joint" new graduate recruitment activities that began in 2024.

Similarly, Tokyo Yasaka Kanko Bus Co., Ltd., which operates tourist bus businesses in the Tokyo metropolitan area, also held an entrance ceremony on March 19th, with four new bus guides (three high school graduates, one university graduate) joining. The university graduate bus guide is also the first new graduate bus guide hired through the "Yasaka Group Joint" new graduate recruitment activities that began in 2024, similar to Yasaka Kanko Bus.

Furthermore, in the automotive dealer division, Kyoto Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. held an entrance ceremony on April 2nd. A total of 30 new employees joined the company, consisting of 19 engineers (mechanics) and 11 sales staff.

Also on the same day, Netz Toyota Yasaka Co., Ltd. held an entrance ceremony, with a total of 22 new employees joining, consisting of 15 engineers (mechanics), 5 sales staff, and 2 administrative staff.

Through the entrance ceremonies held by Yasaka Group companies from mid-March to April, a total of 60 new employees were welcomed. Each new employee is currently undergoing training at their respective companies and is expected to be assigned to the front lines after approximately several months to half a year. Yasaka Group companies, including Yasaka Jidosha, as a Kyoto-born mobility brand and a company rooted in the community supporting lifestyle services, will continue to "pursue and create new value in mobility" amidst diversifying values.
