Kyoto Prefectural Police Headquarters and Kyoto Sangyo University Student Volunteers Implement "Crime Prevention Rear Sticker" Display on Taxis

Yasaka Motor Co., Ltd. (Yasaka Group Headquarters, hereinafter: Yasaka Motor) is pleased to announce its cooperation in an industry-academia-government collaborative project to display "Crime Prevention Rear Stickers (Yasaka Original)" jointly produced by the Kyoto Prefectural Police Headquarters and Kyoto Sangyo University student volunteers, on 200 taxis operating mainly in Kyoto City.

Background and Content of This Project

This initiative began when Yasaka Motor received a proposal from the Kyoto Prefectural Police to "implement a new joint measure" during the process of various collaborations. Based on the government's "6th Gender Equality Plan" (Cabinet Decision on March 13, Reiwa 8), the Kyoto Prefectural Police designates April, when many young people start new lives, as a month for preventing sexual violence against young people, strengthening cooperation with local communities.

As part of this, the student volunteer team "Abelia" (Uraoka Seminar students, Faculty of Law, Social Safety Studies, Kyoto Sangyo University) devised a slogan, and "rear stickers" were produced as a new awareness method utilizing taxi vehicles. The created rear stickers were displayed on Yasaka Motor's taxi vehicles, implementing this as a new collaborative project.

On April 9, 2026, a production announcement event for the "Crime Prevention Rear Stickers" was held at Kyoto Sangyo University. At the announcement, after explanations of the collaborative project's objectives from the Kyoto Prefectural Police Headquarters, Kyoto Sangyo University, and Yasaka Motor, members of the student volunteer team "Abelia," who were responsible for the design, introduced the aims and concepts behind their design.

Afterward, the venue moved, and stakeholders conducted awareness activities targeting students on campus, where many students pass through during the new semester.
